Cher has a new album out in September and the first track to be released will be a duet with none other than Lady Gaga. The song title is The Greatest Thing.
Gaga penned the tune and had this to say, “I wrote that song a long time ago, and I’ve never put in on my own albums for, really, no particular reason.”
The song turned out to be a perfect fit for Cher’s 26th studio album. The veteran songstress was overjoyed yesterday when she tweeted, “Can hardly wait 4 GT 2 Come Out! Was XCITED Bout Making New CD, But Wasn’t Expecting BIG Surprises…& THEN…..SURPRISE! GAGA! DUET!”
Last year at the MTV Video Music Awards the ladies met when Cher presented Gaga with the Video of the Year award for Bad Romance. Who can forget that now infamous meat dress?
Cher isn’t the only one thrilled over the duet, Lady Gaga also tweeted about their song, “Who knew a year ago when I was crying in her arms after she gave me an award, that today we would record a duet. @Cher, You are The Greatest.”
