Chelsea Clinton has always shunned the spotlight … until now. The daughter of U.S. political royalty started a new job today as a full-time NBC special correspondent.
Bill Clinton and Hilary Rodman Clinton‘s only child will be working with Brian Williams on NBC Nightly News and his newsmagazine Rock Center, developing and delivering stories for the Making a Difference segment.
The former ‘First Daughter’ issued a statement: “People who imagine and implement solutions to challenges in their own lives, in their communities, in our country and in our world have always inspired me.”
TV anchor Williams also weighed in, “Chelsea Clinton has led a remarkable life. She possesses an uncommon understanding of humanity — on city streets, across this country and around the globe. We are so excited she’s joining us to tell the stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.”
Chelsea, 31, graduated in 2001 with honors from Stanford with a degree in history and is presently pursuing doctoral studies at New York University and Oxford. She married Goldman Sachs investment banker Marc Mezvinsky in 2010. They reside in NYC – wedding photos here.
