Joey Scoleri has been given the Warlock boot …
Charlie Sheen has been hit and miss during his first six venues featuring the now infamous My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Failure is Not an Option tour. He has retooled it yet again after a disastrous night at Radio City Music Hall.
The opening show in Detroit was a disaster. He brought in show moderator and interviewer Joey Scoleri to add more structure with a Q & A format. That went over better in Chicago and Ohio but things turned ugly during Friday’s show — despite signage that prohibited heckling. Sometimes it’s tough being a warlock.
On Saturday Charlie decided to ditch Scoleri in favor of MTV VJ Simon Rex. Actually the television personality was with Sheen when the tour kicked off in Detroit but was ejected after just one night. Apparently the former Two and a Half Men star regrets that move and is pulling him back into the action.
Sources in Charlie’s camp told ET: “Charlie and his top warlocks thought Scoleri’s presence had hijacked the concert format during his question and answer sessions, so Charlie has taken back control.”
It’s back to New York City on Sunday night for another go at Radio City Music Hall. Will they boo him again tonight? Seems likely — but from Charlie’s perspective, as long as they keep buying tickets and showing up… it’s money in the bank.
The one aspect of the tour that has remained a constant is the reassuring presence of Charlie’s lovely goddesses, who have been handling the t-shirt sales. Check them out below:
