Pawn shop caper fuels drug use speculation …
Brooke Mueller, the estranged wife of Charlie Sheen, is apparently struggling mightily with her inner demons and is rumored to be using again.
Thursday was particularly trying for the 33-year-old mother of twins, who reportedly made frantic calls to friends for “drug-free urine,” according to Radaronline.
Things escalated from there. We have film footage of Mueller at a Inglewood pawn shop, trying to hock a stereo and some jewelry, including one of Charlie’s expensive watches. She paced nervously, and wasn’t able to complete the transaction because she didn’t have proper identification.
Struggling with alcohol and drugs, Mueller has recently complained to friends that she is having money problems, though she receives $55,000 a month from the former Two and a Half Men actor.
The actress-wannabe has recently been associated with a soon-to-be released Oxygen network reality show with Paris Hilton. Her scenes were apparently not suitable and most won’t be aired.
Brooke had planned to take part in a TV-trade presentation of The World According to Paris on Friday but she has since been uninvited. It is unclear whether this sparked her latest downward spiral — or if her struggles precipitated her scenes ending up on the cutting room floor.
Mueller and Sheen recently finalized a child custody agreement that mandated random drug testing. The guidelines are straightforward and don’t leave much wiggle room — see the agreement here.
Meanwhile, Charlie is on the road with his My Violent Torpedo of Truth tour.
