Betty’s candor shocked Lilo …
Of all the celebrities who have taken a jab at Lindsay Lohan, we never expected Betty White to weigh in … but she has done just that.
The not quite snarky comments came when the veteran actress was asked her opinion on today’s celebrities in general. She responded: “I cannot stand celebrities that party too much, don’t learn their lines, are unprofessional and they grumble about everything.”
She was just getting started: “I think they are terribly ungrateful. They get wonderful starts in show business, and abuse it. Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen, for example, although there are plenty of others, too. They are the most blessed people in the world and they don’t appreciate it.”
Lohan learned of the remarks made by the Hot in Cleveland star on Monday and had this to say on the subject: “Wow. I’ve always been a fan of hers. It’s just a bit strange when people feel they must speak publicly about others. Especially a grown woman.”
The Warlock, busy retooling his My Violent Torpedo of Truth tour on a near daily basis, hasn’t mentioned the slight by Betty… but we’re guessing he’ll get around to it.
White, 89, just landed a new NBC show, Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, that will feature seniors playing pranks.
A grown woman indeed … who just so happens to have some dirty photos from her younger days in Hollywood.
