Madonna‘s brother Anthony Ciccone is homeless and living under a bridge in the Midwest, a fact that seems to suggest there is some bad blood brewing among family members.

The 55-year-old told the Michigan Messenger that he has been homeless for over a year, relying solely on handouts from area churches and charities “because my family turned their back on me, basically, when I was having a hard time.”

When asked why his rich sibling would allowed this to happen, he was quick to reply, “You think I haven’t answered this kind of question a bazillion times — why my sister is a multi-bazillionaire, and I’m homeless on the street? Never say never. This could happen to anybody.”

The interview was part of a local news story focusing on the growing problem of homelessness in Traverse City, in the northern area of Madonna’s home state of Michigan.

Ciccone sold five varieties of ‘Madonna’ wine at Ciccone Vineyard & Winery in Sutton’s Bay, Michigan until his father Tony fired him last year.

Claiming the streets are rough and the climate is brutal, Madge’s brother told the reporter, “You have no idea how gruesome it is. You get nerve damage. That’s the milder stage, in the severe stage you have tissue damage, that is when you lose parts of your body. I got frostbite on my feet last winter.”

Madonna is the third of six full-blooded siblings: Martin, Anthony, Paula, Christopher, and Melanie. In light of all of these family members, it would appear that Anthony has burned a few bridges…
