The brothers came face to face with their parents on The Originals Season 2 Episode 2, and Mikael is the only thing which strikes fear into the heart of Klaus Mikaelson.
Parents of the year, they are not! Mikael and Esther would destroy their children in a red hot second if given half a chance, so Klaus and Elijah will be working over the next several episodes to make sure they both–and their legacies–stay alive.
If Klaus isn’t fighting for control of the city, he’s fighting to stay alive. Right now he’s fighting for both.
With Mikael back and under the control of a fickle witch, and with Esther alive and well and forming a werewolf army, it’s high time Klaus earned some loyal followers to help him protect New Orleans.
Marcel is forming a new vampire community after his was destroyed and Klaus and Hayley are attempting to convince the Crescent wolves to join their side of the battle. So far, Hayley seems to have been able to sway their allegiance, but with the other werewolves growing more powerful thanks to the moonlight rings Casther is creating for them, there’s a question as to whether or not she’ll be able to keep their trust.
Plus she’s a hybrid and that’s the only thing the werewolves hate more than vampires.
Everyone’s choosing sides right now and if you watch The Originals online, you know that Davina is firmly on Team Davina. She’s not listening to anyone else anymore. No one else will boss her around.
Except she might have been persuaded to join up with Marcel and Elijah after being attacked by werewolves and witnessing Mikael’s fury. We can’t count her out of Team Vampire just yet.
