On Revenge Season 4 Episode 3, Victoria planned a family reunion for David and Charlotte and built Charlotte up to be the dutiful daughter who cleared his name.
David, so eager to believe he can re-assimilate into normal life, bought Victoria’s lie. And later set out to kill his other daughter. The one who really cleared his name.
Victoria takes David to a cabin, one of her few remaining assets, apparently, and later brings Charlotte there as well. When Emily shows up to talk to Charlotte, Victoria uses that as her opportunity to send David after her.
She tells him to stay and watch Charlotte while she sleeps knowing he won’t listen.
And he doesn’t. As soon as night falls, he goes to Emily’s, planning to attack her in her home. When he sees her asleep, something in her face makes him pause long enough for Nolan to get there to alert Emily to someone’s presence.
If you watch Revenge online, you know that Nolan set up a high-tech security system in Emily’s home. The system failed during last night’s episode, allowing David Clarke entry.
David managed to escape, but next week, he’ll come face to face with his eldest daughter, and that reunion will be one for the books.
So will the inevitable romantic union between Jack and Emily, and if the scene between them this week was any indication, that’s a thing that’s happening.
Now that the Stowaway has burned down, Jack doesn’t think he’ll rebuild it. He wants time to spend with the people he cares about, Emily included. Emily also turned down an invite from Ben to spend time together.
Yes, she’s still mourning Aiden’s loss, but she’s also holding out for her first love.
