Jillian Michaels has signed on for season fourteen of ‘The Biggest Loser’ after a two-year hiatus.
The fitness trainer will join Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince when the weight loss competition returns in January.
With ratings falling significantly since Jillian bailed on the show, NBC announced the return of the former train and a few additional twists.
The adult contestants will be divided into three teams and each group will be joined by an overweight teenager, age 13-17, who will help to support the team but will not be eligible for elimination or the big prize.
Jillian weighed in on the format change, “As a former overweight teen, I know firsthand how dramatically weight issues can affect every aspect of a child’s life. Having recently become a mother of two, I am more passionate than ever about helping empower children and families with the information and resources they need to live a healthier life.”
