The love affair between Taylor Swift and the famous Kennedy clan hit a snag over the weekend when she and Conor Kennedy made a brief appearance at his cousin’s wedding in Boston.
The trouble started when Victoria Gifford Kennedy received an 11th hour text from her 18-year-old nephew asking if he could attend the nuptials with his famous girlfriend.
Frank Gifford‘s daughter, the widow of Michael Kennedy, asked them NOT to attend the event because she felt an appearance by Swift would take the focus off the bride and groom, Kyle Kennedy and Liam Kerr.
Vicky’s “please do not come” text response did not stop Swift and her beau from showing up to wish his cousin well on her wedding day.
Kathie Lee Gifford reported as much on the TODAY show Monday, chatting about what Swift had on and the fact that she made “a brief appearance.”
Family matriarch Ethel Kennedy is reportedly thrilled that her great grandson has hooked up with the 22-year-old entertainer.
