Shia LaBeouf revealed during a recent MTV interview that he has agreed to star in director Lars von Trier’s two-part ‘The Nymphomaniac.’
The actor admits the thought of working with the controversial Danish film maker leaves him quaking in his boots.
LaBeouf explained, “He’s the most dangerous dude that I’ve ever showed up for. I’m terrified. I’m so terrified, which is why I have to go. We’ll see what happens.”
Part of his paranoia is the fact that the project, about a woman who discovers her hidden erotic desires, will show actual sex onscreen and LaBeouf has signed on to do whatever the director deems necessary to tell the story.
Two versions of the film will be produced, one less explicit and the other a hard-core version including unsimulated sex scenes.
According to SL, “There is a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we’re doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we’ll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening.”
Aussie actress Nicole Kidman has signed on for a role in the film that will require her to be on set for only a few days. Other actors include Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgard and Willem Dafoe.
