The 10,000 Scoops in the Land of 10,000 Lakes challenge will take place on June 12, 2012. Denali Flavors and Kemps Dairy will join forces to give away 10,000 scoops of Moose Tracks Ice Cream and Bitten and Bound will be on hand to help dish it…

The Twin Cities Salvation Army fundraiser will take place at Nicollet Mall between 7th and 8th Streets in downtown Minneapolis. The event sponsors have agreed to donate $1.00 for each scoop eaten during the FREE ice cream giveaway.

The event is open to the public from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with the proceeds going toward ongoing Salvation Army community programs for children.

Celeb scoopers include: Minnesota Vikings Mascot Jeff Olsen, KOOL 108 Mike Binkley, WCCO Morning Team Angela Davis, WCCO Morning Team Natalie Kane, Tom Butler, FOX 9 Morning News KMSP-TV, Dave Ryan KDWB-FM, Alix Kendall FOX 9 Morning News KMSP-TV, Missy Germain Entertainment Reporter, Bitten and Bound blog, Nate Prosser Minnesota Wild player, Nordy Minnesota Wild mascot, Keith Stevens KTIS – Afternoon Drive Guy, Tim Mahoney Musician – NBC TV show “The Voice”, and Steve Wazz DJ, KDWB-FM.

Denali Flavors, based in West Michigan, is the maker of more than 40 popular flavors.
