Singer Kelly Clarkson has a new outlook on life to go along with her new boyfriend and body.

Crowned the first American Idol winner in 2002, the two-time Grammy winner has endured more than her fair share of vicious media slams having to do with her weight.

Her secret to success? Clarkson embarked on a five day a week training schedule and has been following a portion control diet. Her efforts have helped her to drop 30 pounds in the last six months.

The Duet star is just ten pounds from her goal weight and looks great. We have no doubt she’ll lose the rest.

The entertainer reportedly decided to slim down after watching a replay of her December performance on VH1 DIVAS Celebrates Soul.

Way to go Kelly! You look fabulous!
