The first ten minutes of Sunday’s episode of Celebrity Apprentice featured the swift firing of Aubrey O’Day after the boss decided that the devious diva has a “transparent” personality.
In a departure from the norm, we didn’t see the former Vegas Peepshow entertainer heading out in the back of a taxi because she was one of eight eliminated celebs brought back to support the last two men standing … Arsenio Hall and Clay Aiken.
The final task required Hall and Aiken to produce and execute a variety show and PSA for charity. In addition to planning the event and getting the venue ready, Team Arsenio and Team Clay had to sell tickets for big bucks to their deep-pocketed friends.
Aiken micromanaged a musical extravaganza with the help of Debbie Gibson, Penn Jillette, Dee Snyder and Aubrey O.
Hall decided on a comedic production with the help of his right hand man Adam Carolla, and further aided by Lisa Lampanelli, Teresa Giudice and Paul Teutul Sr.
Clay and Gibson butted heads over a mural that she had enlisted a family member to paint on a 70 foot wall, while Arsenio and Carolla struggled to get a useable film clip featuring Magic Johnson for their PSA.
Next week we’ll see both gala events after which someone will be fired and someone will be hired. The NBC show airs Sunday, May 20.
