Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron announced at the end of last night’s Rock Week performances that Melissa Gilbert had been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

An undisclosed medical emergency developed shortly after she and pro partner Maks Chmerkovskiy had completed their routine.

The judges gave the pair a total score of 22 for their interpretation of Conquest by The White Stripes. Their showing wasn’t strong but they aren’t likely to be eliminated tonight, sharing that spot on the leaderboard with Jaleel White and William Levy. Sherri Shepherd and Gladys Knight do have reason to be worried with scores of 21 and 20.

Pro Karina Smirnoff told a reporter after the show that Gilbert hit her head on the dance floor during her performance. Afterward she experienced dizziness and was lightheaded.

She was feeling so weak that celebrity contestant Gavin DeGraw carried her down from the elevated Red Room to a waiting ambulance that transported her to an area medical facility for treatment.

Gilbert tweeted a health update last night, “Mild concussion and whiplash. Very soon I will be safely home resting and being taken care of.”

Check out their performance below and see if you can determine at what point the head injury occurred. We remain stumped:
