Bobbie Kristina, the 18-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was rushed to a hospital early Sunday, the morning after her mother died in a Beverly Hilton Hotel room.

The distraught teenager engaged in a verbal altercation with members of the LAPD late Saturday afternoon while trying to gain access to the hotel room where her mother was pronounced dead.

LAPD investigators discovered Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax, and a number of other sleeping aids in the hotel room where the victim died. Autopsy results, including toxicology screening, are not expected to be released by the L.A. County Coroner’s Office for several months.

According to a TMZ report, 911 was summoned to the same hotel this morning to deal with a medical emergency. Whitney’s daughter was reportedly transported to Cedars-Sinai Hospital for treatment of an unspecified ailment.

Houston was staying at the Beverly Hilton in order to attend the annual pre-Grammy bash hosted by Clive Davis. Despite the tragedy the entertainment went on as planned.

Producer Jimmy Jam addressed the party crowd and called it a “bittersweet irony” that Davis introduced Houston to the world at the event more than two decades earlier. He said: “It may be appropriate we’re saying our first goodbyes to Whitney at a Clive Davis event.”
