Last night American Idol left fans with a real cliffhanger at the end of the broadcast. FOX is banking on big ratings tonight as viewers tune in to see if 16-year-old Symone Black is okay after falling off stage.
The Idol contestant told judge Randy Jackson that she hoped to reach out to the older crowd with her rendition of Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay by Otis Redding.
Immediately after making that statement she seemed unsteady on her feet and fell straight off the stage, landing in front of the panel of judges.
Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Jackson seemed shocked. You can hear the producer yell “medic please” and someone else is heard saying, “daddy’s coming.”
Looks like AI is using the unfortunate mishap as a ratings booster. Ryan Seacrest ended the show by saying, “Tomorrow night, find out what happens to Symone!”
