This is no joke. Actress and comedian Roseanne Barr has announced she is running for President of the United States.

Roseanne filed her paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on January 25, 2012 and will run on the Green Party ticket.

Her candidacy will make it a four-way race for the Green nomination, to be decided in Baltimore, Maryland at their nomination convention in July.

The often obnoxious and overbearing sitcom veteran sees herself going head to head against Barack Obama and his Republican opponent, likely Mitt Romney, in the race for the White House after she gets over her first hurdle of getting the Green Party nod.

She took to her Twitter page to announce her run:

Roseanne said, “I will barnstorm American living rooms. Mainstream media will be unable to ignore me.”

She plans to run on a platform that supports single-payer healthcare, credit card and mortgage debt forgiveness, and the legalization of marijuana.

Can you envision people jumping on Barr’s bandwagon?
