Paris Jackson is making her talk show debut as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The only daughter of the late Michael Jackson taped an interview that will air on Thursday.

Host Ellen DeGeneres asked the teen what great advice she got from her father. She replied, “He said, ‘If I die tomorrow, always remember what I told you.’ I took his advice, and I remembered everything he told me.” Give the kid a break … she’s new at this!

On the subject of wearing a mask in public, she admits, “Yeah, I’m like this is stupid. Why am I wearing a mask? But I kind of realized the older I got like he only tried to protect us and he’d explain that to us too.”

The 13-year-old recently got her first acting job, scoring the lead role in the fantasy film Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys.

DeGeneres presented Paris with a custom director’s chair with her name and a star embossed on the seat back. The astonished teen put her hands over her mouth and seemed genuinely delighted with the gift.
