The wait is finally over. The Los Angeles Lakers have traded Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks as part of a deal that was confirmed last night.
Initially it was thought that Lamar would be going to the New Orleans Hornets. In an eleventh hour decision, that plan was nixed.
Sports bloggers suggest that the Lakers wanted to dump his costly $17 million salary in order to recruit other star players to the team.
Lamar has remained tight-lipped about the trade but his wife Khloe Kardashian took to her Twitter page,”We are sad but positive energy gets you farther then negative.”
She even quoted scripture–taking a few liberties with the translation, “‘For I know the plans I have for u,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper u and not to harm u, plans to give u hope and a future.’ Jeremiah.”
Khloe remains optimistic, “I am sure I will love it but I am a tad thrown off…I know for a fact blessings are everywhere!!! Everything happens for a reason. God is great.”
