In yet another blow for Oprah and her struggling empire, The Nate Berkus Show has been canceled.
Her interior designer pal was gifted with his own daytime talk show spin-off in September 2010. The show was produced in Chicago by Harpo Studios and Sony Entertainment, the same group that is churning out the nightly Rosie O’Donnell gig.
Nate Berkus just learned that he will not be renewed for a third season due to poor ratings. The final episode of season two will air in May.
This news comes closely on the heels of Gayle King‘s departure from the OWN Network. Oprah’s BFF sent shock waves across the universe when she took a job with CBS as co-host on The Early Show.
Could the next casualty be Rosie? Her talk show on OWN is a ratings disaster. She did receive a temporary bump when she announced her engagement to Michelle Rounds, but audiences can be fickle and hers is no exception.
At this point Winfrey has a small stable of success stories thanks to two medical men and a financial wizard: Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, and Suze Orman.
