Rapper Rick Ross had one hell of a day yesterday. In the morning he suffered a seizure on a Delta flight and later that day the musician experienced another episode on a private jet.
At 1:00 p.m. Friday, a flight headed to Memphis carrying 121 passengers was diverted back to Ft. Lauderdale airport, where Ross was transported to a local hospital. After a medical evaluation, he announced that he would make it to his concert in Memphis that evening – see video below.
En route to Tennessee shortly after 5:00 p.m. eastern, via private jet, Rick suffered another seizure and an emergency landing was initiated in Birmingham, Alabama some thirty minutes later.
Ross was to perform at a University of Memphis basketball event at 7:30 p.m. ET with rapper Yo Gotti. No word on whether Yo Gotti performed.
The Miami-based gangsta rapper remains hospitalized at University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital.
