After just four lackluster episodes that failed to find a receptive audience, ABC is shutting down production of Charlie’s Angels.

The reboot of the iconic 70’s drama series had just eight shows filmed when ABC pulled the plug. The network had its fingers crossed that the angels would truly be smiling down on the newest venture but it didn’t happen.

Suddenly finding themselves without a weekly television gig are actresses Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh.

Minka hit her Twitter page after the announcement, “I’ve had a wonderful time working with this incredible crew and amazing cast. I’ve made friends 4 life. A beautiful experience. Amazing things on the way!! All is good. xo.”

Making a name for themselves with the original series were the late Farrah Fawcett, and her sidekicks Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith.

The remaining four episodes will air on Thursday nights while ABC finds something else to slip into the 8 p.m. slot.
