Still playing the diva card, singer Whitney Houston was lucky to dodge a bullet after refusing to buckle her seat belt on a Delta Airlines flight.

The troubled songstress boarded a flight out of Atlanta and once seated she was instructed by crew members to buckle up, which she refused to do.

A second crew member then addressed the situation with Houston, threatening that if she did not buckle up she would be escorted off the plane.

Still trying to exert one last bit of control, she wouldn’t do the deed herself but did allow one of the crew members to fasten the belt for her, after which the plane was cleared for takeoff.

A friend close to Whitney and familiar with the situation said, “She overreacted a little bit after missing an earlier flight but she’s still 100% sober and was on the way to Detroit for her first day of shooting a new movie.”
