Ellen DeGeneres was sitting in a producers meeting at Warner Bros. on Monday when she experienced chest pains and tightness symptoms that were deemed severe enough to warrant a 911 call to paramedics.

Actually the symptoms started on Sunday night at her home, but as most women do, she disregarded what could have turned out to be a heart attack. Thankfully it was not, and Ellen is fine.

DeGeneres got checked out went right back to work. She even taped a monologue for today’s show that shed light on the situation in true comedic style.

She joked that 50 trucks and ambulances came to her aid, just “one marching band short of a parade. Then they come in with an axe. Break the door down. It was open. I don’t know why they did that.”
