Prince Michael Jackson traveled to Berlin for his first solo guest appearance at the 2011 Tribute To Bambi charity event.
The fourteen-year-old was accompanied by a group of adults, but no family members traveled to Germany with the eldest son of the late Michael Jackson.
In a nod to his father, Prince dressed for the occasion in a black suit, red shirt, black tie and red armband.
The teen took the stage to present three handwritten manuscripts for Bad, Billie Jean and Smooth Criminal. The items will be auctioned off to benefit disadvantaged children.
Young Jackson told a crowd of 800, “I try to build on what my father did. I also try to help and change things, just like he did.”
The visit was memorable but short. According to the boy, there was no spare time built into the trip timeline for sightseeing because he had to get back to L.A. for school. We’re guessing that was mandated by Catherine Jackson, who has guardianship over her son Michael’s three children.
