The twelfth season of The Biggest Loser will kick off Tuesday night on NBC with a few new twists.
A total of 15 contestants have been divided up between three trainers: Bob Harper, Anna Kournikova and Dolvett Quince.
The Red Team, led by “body sculptor” Quince, is made up of five 24 to 27-year old competitors. They include a foster care worker, a songwriter, a nurse, a tattoo artist and an Internet marketing specialist. Their average weight is 338 lbs.
Patrick Ferrari, 26, Vincent “Vinny” Hickerson, 27, Jessica Limpert, 26, Ramon Medeiros, 27, and Courtney Rainville, 24.
The Black Team, led by veteran trainer Harper, is comprised of contestants ranging in age from 39 to 46. The heaviest group, with two 450 lb. members, includes a restaurant manager, a home health specialist, a special ed teacher and coach, a TV producer, and a 5th grade teacher.
Antone Davis, 44, Joe Mitchell, 46, John Rhode, 40, Jennifer Rumple, 39, and Sunny Sinclair, 41.
The Blue Team, led by the former tennis star, are the oldest of the bunch at 51, 60, 62, 63 and 65. The lightest group of the three averages 273 lbs. The seniors include a math teacher, a high school teacher and coach, a realtor, a retired payroll supervisor, and a senior administrative assistant.

The popular weight loss show will air Tuesday, September 20th (8/7c on NBC). It promises to be the Battle of the Ages.
