Last night Charlie Sheen took the stage at the 63rd Annual Emmy Awards to present the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

Sheen received a warm welcome, with late night show host Jimmy Fallon even standing up to show his support. While most of the presenters started out with a few lame jokes, Charlie delivered a serious shout-out.

“Before I present Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy Series, my old category, I want to take a moment to get something off my chest and say a few words to everybody here from Two and a Half Men.”

He continued, “From the bottom of my heart, I wish nothing but the best for this upcoming season. We spent eight wonderful years together and I know you will continue to make great television.”

The television camera panned to Jon Cryer, who appeared particularly pleased. He and Sheen have not spoken since the show ended abruptly earlier this year.

Before leaving the stage, Sheen presented the Best Actor award to Jim Parsons from The Big Bang Theory the Emmy.

The premiere of the all new Two and a Half Men, starring Ashton Kutcher, kicks off tonight.

Charlie Sheen has his own gig on a competing channel this evening. He will be the main attraction during a Comedy Central Roast. Check out the humorous spoof video that he and his no longer estranged father Martin Sheen recorded as a promo.
