NBA champion Ron Artest, who has signed on for the new season of Dancing with the Stars, can now legally be called Metta World Peace.
An L.A. judge made it official on Friday, granting the name change petition filed by the L.A. Lakers player.
We’re guessing that DWTS host Ron Bergeron will have a great time with Artest’s new moniker when he introduces the athlete and his pro partner Peta Murgatroyd on Monday night, when the thirteenth season premieres on ABC.
It didn’t take Ron long to become @MettaWorldPeace on Twitter. His partner Peta tweeted several hours ago, “I guess I have to start calling you Metta now huh?!”
