Prince Harry is headed to El Centro, California in October for helicopter training. He will take part in Exercise Crimson Eagle, which is part of the RAF Conversion of Role training that he started in Suffolk.
Captain Wales, 26, as he is known in the Army Air Corps, will also spend time at Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field in Arizona during his three-month stint.
The Apache attack helicopter training course will consist of environmental training, live firing and tactical exercises. When he returns to the U.K. he will be qualified to join one of the Apache squadrons and be eligible for deployment.
In 2008 Prince Harry was secretly deployed to Afghanistan until the Drudge Report blew his cover and he was pulled back to London.
As part of a time honored tradition, midway through the upcoming 12-week course, Harry and his training partners will hit Las Vegas for a brief break.
