T.I. was released early Wednesday morning from the Forrest City Correctional Facility in Arkansas. The rapper has been serving an 11-month prison sentence for a probation violation.
Tip was freed at 7:29 a.m., a month earlier than expected. He won’t be headed straight home but instead will serve the remainder of his time at a community living facility.
T.I. is thrilled to have freedom once again and shared the news on Twitter, “The storm is over & da sun back out. IT’S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!! Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!! Feels great to be back where I belong… Back in the arms of those who need me the most.”
This was T.I.’s second stint in federal prison–in 2009 he spent 7 months locked up on gun charges. With his slate officially wiped clean in just a few weeks, we certainly hope he can walk the straight and narrow path.
VH1 will begin filming a new reality show featuring T.I. and his wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris as he gets his life together. The untitled series will premiere on December 5, 2011.
