Alex Rodriguez met for several hours with MLB investigators at a Baltimore Hotel on Friday to answer questions about his alleged association with a secret poker ring.

Four investigators arrived at an area hotel at 10:30 a.m. and didn’t leave the premises until approximately 2:15 p.m.

A-Rod and his lawyer, Jay Reisinger, and another attorney from the players association were on hand during the session.

Reporters questioned the third baseman afterward. They wanted to know if he thought he’s be disciplined and whether he had been told to change his behavior.

A-Rod responded, “Nothing like that was discussed. I can’t get into anything more. In fairness to them I answered all their questions until I got tired. Whatever I said, I said in there, and I am excited to play baseball.”

He went on to say, “They have the information and I assume they will report to the commissioner. I don’t know what they will do with the information. They asked questions and I answered them.

The athlete is accused of engaging in underground poker games with high-profile players. One of the games reportedly turned violent and cocaine was openly used.

Actor Tobey McGuire, who is known to frequent high-stakes poker games, was reportedly at some of the same games as A-Rod.

Rodriguez is expected to return to the Yankees lineup over the weekend after spending six weeks on the disabled list following knee surgery. The team will play their next five games against the Orioles in Baltimore.
