We wondered how long it would take Kim Kardashian to mount a legal claim against Old Navy. The popular clothing brand launched an ad campaign in February using an actress who very closely resembles the reality star.
The recently filed lawsuit claims that Old Navy intentionally tried to dupe the public into thinking that Kardashian had partnered with the brand in their ad campaign. She estimates that the copycat campaign may have cost her $15-$20 million.
What really ticked her off was the fact that Old Navy ‘tweeted’ to her page: “@CBSNEWS reports that Old Navy’s Super CUTE star looks like @kimkardashian.#LOL. What do you think?”
The lookalike, Melissa Molinaro, has added insult to injury by hooking up with Kim’s ex boyfriend, NFLer Reggie Bush. That was likely the final straw for Kim.
