The very last trailer of the Harry Potter series has been released by Warner Bros. The 2011 epic fantasy film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 will be the final installment.
Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will reprise their roles as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
The end begins as Harry, Ron and Hermione go back to Hogwarts to find and destroy Voldemort’s final horcruxes, but when Voldemort finds out about their mission, the biggest battle begins and life as they know it will never be the same again.
The official trailer was released on Thursday, June 16. The film will premiere in 2D and 3D formats on July 15, 2011.
Adding to the hype is a mysterious new Harry Potter website, Pottermore.com. The page contains two owls and is signed by J.K. Rowling, with the teaser “Coming Soon” and nothing more. There is also an associated Twitter account, @Pottermore, that has been set up and already has 25,000 followers.
Adding further intrigue is a link to a YouTube page that is counting down the days until the author will let Potter fans in on the big news, believed to be June 23 at 4:00 a.m. That teaser reads: “The owls are gathering… Find out why soon.”
