Unfiltered and unrepentant …

It has long been understood by those following the career of comedic actor Tracy Morgan, that the man has no filter. That fact continues to lead him down a bad path and has NBC exec’s cringing.

The 30 Rock celeb made waves and raised eyebrows in January 2011 when he got snarky on the live NBA on TNT pregame show, offering up some raunchy remarks while comparing Sarah Palin and Tina Fey in a ‘who’d you rather’ discussion – video here.

Morgan has found himself in hot water again after launching into a gay bashing rant during a live show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville last Friday.

During his stand-up performance, he said: “Gays need to quit <expletives> whining about something as insignificant as bullying. Gay is something that kids learn from the media and programming. My son better talk to me like a man and not in a gay voice or I’ll pull out a knife and stab <expletives> (him) to death.”

Those comments were just the tip of the iceberg … but should give you a general idea of where he stands on the subject. You can read a ‘less filtered’ version here.

The venue’s management team issued a statement: “The Ryman Auditorium regrets that people were offended by statements made by Tracy Morgan during his June 3 appearance. The Ryman does not control the content presented by people appearing on its stage, nor does it endorse any of the views of, or statements made by, such persons.”
