Actor Josh Duhamel won a Daytime Emmy in 2002 for his role on All My Children, and promptly left the show to pursue other acting opportunities. The popular television soap opera is going off the air on September 23, 2011 but not before Josh makes a return cameo appearance.

AMC has enjoyed an amazing 40-year run and became a launch pad for many careers, including that of Duhamel. He will be reprising his role as con man Leo du Pres, who was written off as dead following a waterfall accident — but his body was never found.

Executive producer Julie Carruthers said: “Everyone at All My Children is thrilled and excited to welcome Josh back to Pine Valley. The appearance of Leo is sure to be one of the highlights of the season.”

The actor married Black Eyed Peas singer Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson in January 2009.

Other celebs who have appeared on the daytime soap include Christian Slater, Kelly Ripa, Sarah Michelle Geller and Kim Delaney.

We will be sure to tune in for Josh’s return — will you? We have Josh’s first scene on AMC below, check it out.
