It was Classical Week on the hit ABC reality show Dancing with the Stars. The highlight of Monday night’s show was a second “situation” for Kirstie Alley within the span of two episodes.
During her Waltz with pro partner Maks Chmerkovskiy, the former Cheers celeb ended up on the floor with half of her foot suddenly not in its shoe. The strap around her ankle was the only thing that held her heel in place. She quickly stuffed her toes back into the footwear, before a very patient Maks helped her to her feet.
The judges, who clearly want to keep the popular contestant in the competition, awarded their dance two 7’s and an 8. Last week Maks had a leg cramp that caused both of them to topple to the floor. That fiasco earned three 7’s.
Riding the bottom this week after Monday night’s competition were retired pro boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and Kendra Wilkinson.
After Kendra’s performance Monday night, Tom Bergeron asked her what she thought went wrong, she blurted: “I just don’t care.” While she and her pro partner Louis van Amstel walked off stage, he said: “I must say I was embarrassed by your comments.”
The Playboy model admitted Tuesday night that she was a total mess on Monday: “Hormones took over yesterday. It’s one of those womanly things that happened yesterday, and it just so happened to be last night, so, yeah.” Seriously…
Co-host Brooke Burke, taken slight aback, responded: “Gosh, I appreciate your honesty! I mean, a woman who just admits that!”
When all of the dust settled, it was Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya who got the DWTS boot. His parting words: “That’s life and I fought a good fight. I’ll cherish this moment. Good friends, good show. I love the spirit of the show. I love the people on this show.”
The popular athlete joins previously eliminated celebs Mike Catherwood and Wendy Williams.
