Pia is moving on …

Just twenty-four hours after being eliminated from American Idol, Pia Toscano received an offer for a record deal with Interscope Records.

Toscano admits that she was shocked when Ryan Seacrest announced that she had been given the boot on Thursday night. Things began looking up on Friday. She said: “So many doors are going to open for me. In fact they already have and I’m looking forward to going on tour and I’m excited to see what my future holds. I’m not upset, I’m positive.”

Interscope’s chairman is American Idol mentor Jimmy Lovine. The company began calling songwriters and producers on Friday to pull together an album quickly.

Rumors suggest that romance might be in the cards for Toscano and DWTS pro Mark Ballas, who have both been rehearsing and shooting their shows next to each other at CBS Television City in L.A. prior to her sudden departure.

Mark and Pia were seen leaving Gulfstream restaurant in Century City together on Friday night. He was in a suit and she was all glam in black – see photo below:
