Singer Alanis Morissette posted a photo on her Twitter page showing her baby bump covered in henna tattoos. The ink tattooed hands and arms surrounding her belly belong to her friends.
Morissette’s first child is due in early 2011. The musician told the media this week that she and husband MC Souleye are thrilled to announce that their baby will be a boy.
In the Arabic culture henna tattoos are applied in the seventh month of pregnancy. Alanis explained the design: “Some rituals surprise in the heartwarming department.”
