Prince William and Kate Middleton sat down on Tuesday for their first interview following the official announcement of their engagement.
A royal wedding will take place sometime in the spring or summer of 2011. The event is expected to draw a television audience of one billion people. The last such extravaganza – royal wedding photos here – took place in 1981 when Prince Charles wed Diana Spencer.
The newly engaged couple took part in a photo call yesterday that captured them with arms linked and also featured the amazing sapphire and diamond encrusted engagement ring that was worn by Princess Diana during her own engagement and marriage.
