Pop star Pink will be honored for her work with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community at the Human Rights Campaign’s 14th annual National Dinner in Washington D.C this weekend.
The Human Rights Campaign is the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization. Though Pink herself isn’t gay, she’s an avid supporter of gay rights.
Pink will be presented the special Ally for Equality Award by Bette Midler.
Other honorees at the event include Precious director Lee Daniels, and the ABC show Modern Family, cast members Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara will be on hand to accept on behalf of the show.
Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese says, “This has been a remarkable year in the fight for LGBT equality, but there is much work left to be done. The National Dinner will highlight our accomplishments and inspire us to keep up the fight until we have achieved full equality under the law.”
