Susan Boyle was to have performed Hallelujah on Dancing With the Stars Tuesday night during the October 5 results show.
This would have been a return engagement for the April 2009 runner-up on Britain’s Got Talent. Susan sang I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables on DWTS in November 2009.
The vocalist’s last visit to Los Angeles ended badly. Boyle was slated to appear during the finale of America’s Got Talent last month when she ran into a show-stopping roadblock. She planned to sing Perfect Day until song writer Lou Reed foiled her primetime gig in the eleventh hour by refusing to give her permission to perform his song.
It will be interesting to see what happens Monday night on DWTS. Will Bruno Tonioli give Michael Bolton a public apology after his scathing remarks last week?
UPDATE: Monday night show host Tom Bergeron announced that Susan Boyle has fallen ill with a throat infection and has been advised not to perform on Tuesday night. The show is furiously attempting to fill the vacant time slot.
