Marie Osmond, fresh off of a whirlwind season on Dancing with the Stars, has done what any celebrity worth their strips would do. She cashed in on her renewed star status and got herself a permanent gig. The singer will host a new talk show that revolve around women.
The hour long entertainment and lifestyle talk show will be distributed by syndicator Program Partners, slated for Fall of 2009. Seems like a long while to wait. Hopefully she can keep herself in the limelight until then, in order to stay relevant to potential viewers.
The singer believes she can bring many of her own life experiences to her audience. She has first hand experience with depression, adoption, raising 8 children, being a single mom, divorce, losing her home in a fire and a child who has been in rehab.
Osmond gave her vision of the new project. “I want it to be — a fun show,” she said. “That girlfriend destination where we can all laugh a little bit, cry a little bit and just enjoy life.”
