Lincoln Theatre in Washington D.C. will host an American Idol tribute to our U.S. troops on Friday, December 14. The holiday concert will feature a select group of former American Idol contestants. Jessica Sierra has been removed from the list of performers.

The organizers of the concert needn’t have worried about Sierra. She is currently being held without bail, behind bars in the Hillsborough County Jail in Tampa, Florida.

MoveAmericaForward.org is coordinating the event. Their spokesman, Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson indicated that people were concerned her presence would send a bad message. The former Idol runner up traveled to Iraq to perform with other Idol entertainers in celebration of Independence Day on July 4 of this year – see picture above.

Sierra entered a California rehab center after returning from the trip. Her stay was documented on VH1 and will air in 2008 as part of their “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew”.
