Kylie Minogue is an Australian Grammy award winning pop singer, songwriter and actress. She has sold over 40 million records worldwide. She released her 10th studio album X at the end of November – currently number four on the charts.
Minogue broke into TV at age eleven when she appeared on several Australian soap operas. She then embarked on a very successful music career. She performed On A Night Like This and Dancing Queen for over 2.1 billion people at the closing ceremonies of the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.
The singer was in the middle of a worldwide concert tour in 2005 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Following surgery and chemotherapy she was determined to return to her career. She has received a great deal of support from her friend Olivia Newton-John, a fellow Aussie and cancer survivor.
