Comedian Greg Giraldo has died just five days after being hospitalized for an accidental overdose. He was 44-years-old.

Giraldo was hospitalized in New Brunswick, NJ after he overdosed on prescription pills.

Sources close to the comedian, who was as regular on Comedy Central roasts and was recently a judge on Last Comic Standing , say the overdose was not a suicide attempt.

A source close to Giraldo said, “Greg passed away today at the hospital in New Brunswick as a result of an accidental overdose. His family was by his side.”
