In a surprise revelation, it was Todd Palin and not his daughter Bristol Palin that Dancing With the Stars first approached to appear as a celebrity on Season 11.
This juicy tidbit was revealed by Sarah Palin at a speaking engagement in Houston earlier this week. She said: “They wanted Todd to be on the show. I think that would have been cool to see, too. But here Bristol is, out of her comfort zone, doing something all new.”
Is it just us or was her hubby propping comment actually an unintentional daughter diss? Oops…
Today Palin was named to Forbes 2010 Power Women List
Bristol came perilously close to hitting the bottom of the leaderboard during Week 3. Only Margaret Cho had a lower score and got the boot.
Most celebrities lose a significant amount of weight because of their rigorous DWTS practice schedules. Kelly Osbourne lost 50 pounds. The Alaska teen hasn’t noticed a decrease in appetite, body shape or dress size. She has a theory: “I think most people lose weight because they’re too stressed out to eat. I haven’t had that problem!”
Early on Bristol indicated she wouldn’t be wearing anything sexy on the show. Apparently she is pulling out all of the stops for next weeks performance. She hinted: “We’re doing a sexy dance next week. I have to get into character. Dressing sexy will help me get into character more. Next week, I’ll be dressing sexy. This is it.”
Another DWTS celebrity, Audrina Patridge, has a different perspective regarding her level of fitness since coming on the show. She said: “I would say I’m in the best shape of my life. Dancing is so much different than going to the gym. I’m going to be so sad when it’s over.”
Patridge will definitely be around for awhile. She and her pro partner topped the leaderboard this week.
