David Arquette called into the Howard Stern Show this morning after issuing a joint statement with wife Courteney Cox about their separation.

Arquette, sounding a bit drunk, said that after their 11-year anniversary, Courteney told him she didn’t want to be his mother anymore.

He then told Stern that he and Cox stopped having sex four months ago. “We go to do ‘Scream 4’ and I’m feeling distance, obviously, from my wife. We had not had sex in quite a…at that time, almost a month or so. Since then, it’s been like four months or so.”

The actor also addressed rumors about an affair with Jasmine Waltz, calling her his “one conquest,” and denying that he cheated on Courteney before the split.

“I did have sex with her one time, maybe twice… my sexual encounter made me feel pretty manly.”

“Part of the terms of our separation was that I was allowed to see other people and so was she,” he explained.

Arquette also commented on the rumors that his estranged wife has been getting cozy with her “Cougar Town” co-star Brian Van Holt, telling Stern that there is some chemistry there, and although he isn’t sure about a physical relationship, there is an “emotional affair” between the two.

“We’re not having sex, and I completely understand,” he told the Sirius host. “She’s an emotional being… If it doesn’t feel right, she doesn’t feel like bonding in that way.”

“She’s the greatest woman I’ve ever met … Now, yes, she’s got her issues,” he said. “She tries to take on everybody’s problem. She tries to be the mother to everyone – that’s why she doesn’t want to be the mother to me anymore.”

“I appreciated that,” he added. “I’ve been going to therapy. I’m trying to grow up.”

We hope he does.
