In a rather odd admission, R&B singer and Dancing with the Stars celeb Brandy Norwood is spilling the beans on her sex life and there really isn’t much to talk about. In fact, the hip hop artist claims she hasn’t had sex for years.
Brandy, who had the best dance performance this week on DWTS, mentioned on camera during Week 4 that she doesn’t feel sexy and hasn’t been with a man for six years – see first video below, 1:00 on slider.
She has since clarified things in an interview with Life & Style: “I tend to abstain if I’m not in a relationship. It’s been a long time. We’re talking years. I actually went on a blind date a couple months ago that was very interesting but nothing serious. There was just something about us that didn’t click.”
She has come to realize that her current gig on the ABC reality show does help her to feel more sexually confident. “I always relate sexy to being in love. But I’m starting to realize that if I put on a little leotard like when I danced the rumba, I could feel sexy a lot more!”
It is not secret that Brandy and her pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy have not become fast friends on the show. It appears that the self-described bad boy of the ballroom has all he can do to be in the same room with his Season 11 partner, as evidence by film clips from the first five weeks of competition. Her incessant chatter appears to drive him up a wall.
This week he pushed her over-sized sucker prop in front of her face while she was talking to Samantha Harris – see photo below. He also hushed her exuberance over getting the top score of the week, nearly pushing her into a room after the judging and sarcastically saying: “There , now go wild and scream.”
Several weeks ago footage showed the two in their training studio. His harsh teaching style, butt slapping and bullying tactics drew harsh criticism from several of the judges when video footage was shown prior to one of their performances.
