Courteney Cox decided it was time to clarify her current marital situation. In an interview with TV Week, the actress said: I don’t know what will happen, but this is not like we’re getting a divorce.”
We’re guessing the actress doesn’t realize that the average celebrity couple files for divorce within a week after announcing a legal separation. Some later have a change of heart, as in Sean Penn who waffled for years, but the majority cut ties and move on.
The actress went on to say: “This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us.”
Cox acknowledges that she and her husband of eleven years, David Arquette, are no longer on the same page. She admits: “Sometimes you just realize ‘Wow, we actually have grown apart.'”
Asked to comment on estranged hubby’s bizarre comments to Howard Stern, Courteney said: “David is a kook. It’s not shocking. David is an entertainer and I’m sure the people who listen to the radio are entertained by his stories.”
